Maybe the world wouldn't be so fucked up if the Indians would've prevail.

Lisasdo is fairly ignorant and the three people evicted were NOT EVER members of the Tribe. The current 'faction' is the one recognized by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and there has already been an Indian lands determination done saying the is a reservation and it can be used for a casino...

I really do hope that you can find some happiness in this life. I am sorry bad things happened before any of us were born, but this hate and animosity will not be cured with money. Building a casino on holy land doesn't set it or you free.

I am sad that people have been torn apart and trusts broken. Karen and Walter losing everything that they love made me cry. I am sad that this happening across the country. The anger and hate is soul wrenching. Seeing Native Americans in this light has broken my belief that Indians had a sort of holiness to them. I am sad to find out that they can be just like the next greedy human. I am sad to lose this Naïveté.

I care more deeply than you can imaging- injustice is wrong no matter who is doing it.
The dominant society uses situations like this to create divisions in the native comminity. Is this more about per cap and who gets it...? Or, is it really a soveignty issue?

Part 2 - The "sovereignty" issue should be non-existent as the property and who has the rightful ownership is still in the courts. The current Jamul tribe is a tribe without land.

It's both. The persons removed from the property do not want the casino and were the original tribal council. The current tribal faction forced them out of the tribe and then forced them off their property. So yes the per cap will go up. Problem is the properties and homes were willed to their descendants. The property is not a reservation only land held in trust for the original seven families of 1/2 Jamul blood. Not one of the current tribal members lives on the property.

This is a personal email that I received from Jason Pinto. I thought I'd post it here so all can see the type of person that we are dealing with (this is verbatim):
==========
When a person of any law enforcement asks you to leave
a property that you blatantly tresspass on, and you
refused to do so... duh you're gonna get pepper
sprayed.

Chairman Lee Acebedo did not lie to Diann Jacobs or
the so-called "Jamulians," our council overrode his
decision, he was not authorized to make. After all, the Tribe is a Sovereign Democratic Nation!
Please do us all a favor and tell the truth, know your
laws for it was your forefathers who wrote them in the
blood of our Ancestors.
