I really do like this painting! i can paint and draw too but i can't do realistic stuff only ppl and wildlife portraits but this is amazing u did u really good job!!

He has the best step-by-step videos. mine are time lapses of my experiments, intended for those who already have a working knowledge of the materials involved.

How do you know when to use the fan brush, and what brushes to use for things.

Hi, I choose a brush (or palette knife) depending on the shape I am about to paint also considering the size of that to be painted area. Just think "which brush will do the work for me with the fewest strokes" and that's the brush. The fan brush works well for foilage, but it's EASILY overused... I like to use the edges of the fan each side loaded with a similar, but different color. Hope this helps, thanks for watching... have a GREAT painting day!
