Staff Sgt. Bobby Henline and his family's world was literally flipped upside down when his Humvee was hit by a roadside bomb in Iraq. He survived burns to 38 percent of his body, including his face and left arm, though surgeries and treatment are ongoing. (Video by John W. Poole / NPR)

  • @tbone6636

In what way are you free? You don't live in a democracy, now you can be put indefinately in Guantanamo without the right to a fair trial and so on..

The wars have never been about your freedom, it's been about your opression and support of apartheid in the middleeast. Noone looks up to USA. USA is a fashist state.

  • This guy used to be a perfectly healthy good looking human being. Poor sob, tricked by the rich to fight for his m8, when he only fought for all the wrong reasons.

  • @Swagtastic67 Your Dad is a real hero, never forget that. Please tell him the Canadian Forces send their respect and love.

  • @xPancakemanX Yes.. a roadside bomb is an IED. Anything purposely laid ahead of time for the purpose of maiming or destroying human life, that makes an explosion, is an improvised explosive device.

  • was it a IED

  • @usindependent50 Governments care about personal benefits more than their people. Always taking money from us. When we donate toward cancer, large percentage the Governments take. When we donate a sum of money to the poor kids in other countries who're dying of starvation... governments deduct from it. If you have a business, governments are gonna close you down if you don't pay them a sum of your money. All goes toward elections. People becoming large, others are dying.

  • @usindependent50 What does war proove? Why do you fight? People are people no matter what country they live in. I didn't say I was in war, I have the right to my opinion, and the way I see things. I don't have to be holding a gun, and being shot at to have my opinion. I'm not disrespecting these people. I have a lot of respect for them. They're strong and brave people. I just don't have respect for the greedy governments that profit over it, by sitting behind their desks living large.

  • @KyleSurette13

Dont be so fucking disrespectful. I know you think you know what your talking about and your making some sort of positive difference on the world. But you don't know shit.

I spent 30 months in Iraq this guy spent three tours in Iraq and I gaurentee he would go back and so would I.

I fought for a country and it's people to be able to choose their own fate of their country. Don't you ever belittle the sacrifice of me and other troops who have served in Iraq.
