  • I'm glad the videos were helpful. Chapters beyond the first will require use of drawings or animations. I need help with these because I'm not an accomplished artist. I would like to continue this work. I have found that the Italian pronunciation system is the most widely used in the world today. The "classical system" was an early 20th century innovation that was controversial at the time and has not caught on too widely worldwide. It is, however, widely used in universities in the US and GB.

  • What a wonderful video! Thank you so much. What software did you use to make the visuals? I really liked the way you used small and large pictures to represent parvus and magnus. I hope you keep them coming.

  • @TuTubusLatinus Making the visuals was painstaking. I used a combination of smoothdraw and Microsoft Paint, but later found paint.net, a program that had all the features I needed. It took about 12 hours of concentrated effort to create each template necessary for the visuals. I took many more hours to incorporate them into the video. I intend to keep them coming, but the process will be slow. I need to figure out how to convey the action in chapters 3 and 4. I have some work done on chapter 2.

  • PRONUNCIATION GOOD, BUT NOT QUITE CLASSICAL

  • @alkantre The pronunciation follows the Italian system. Dr. Ørberg's materials available for purchase follow the classical system. Most audio and video I've found available on the web follow the Italian system. Perhaps, over time, I can make both systems of pronunciation available.

  • Multas gratias tibi ago! I am currently up to Chapter 8 in the Ørberg text and LOVE his method! I'm using it to review my Latin skills (took Latin in college 50 years ago). And I really appreciate your videos! Thank you for saying what tools you used to make them. Until you said how much time it took to make them, I was thinking of doing the same. I hope that you continue your efforts. Thanks also for saying what pronunciation system you were using; I had never heard it before.

  • @mhselle I can also understand the Italian system, although the classical one was always imparted to me.
