Excerpted from "The Art of Playing Brushes" DVD.

The Art of Playing with Brushes is the most comprehensive, definitive and unprecedented volume on the topic ever produced.

Living legends Billy Hart, Eddie Locke, Joe Morello, Charli Persip and Ben Riley along with modern brush masters Adam Nussbaum and Steve Smith demonstrate and discuss their distinctive drumming styles then all perform the same set of medium to up-tempo swing, ballads and Latin tunes to compare and contrast their unique approaches and interpretations.

This deluxe addition to every drummers library offers a thorough and graphic exploration of the art from a variety of historical, technical and musical perspectives.

  • Joe died this year... I just found out. Almost cried :( This is what is missing from most of today's musicians, they are not irreplaceable. There world won't lose a spark in the darkness on most cases. Joe was irreplaceable, and still is.

  • Charli ! what originally inspire you to become a musician ...WEEEMON!!!! XD

  • Ben Riley had the best advice. Great video.

  • Wow awesome video!

  • I'm still listening to Chick Webb and still trying to catch up to what he did.
