ugh, thank you Xeletoph on this video...im sick and tired of hearing these fear-mongering people who say "humans need to keep their authenticity and not enhance themselves with machinery because technology is the end for us!" while typing this on their computer, txting their buddies on when's the next party, go and write a rough draft on an English final, and ride their bike/car to go grab something to eat...all examples of them suing technology for their benefit...lame -_-

Umm. No. You cease being human, when you start to be a monster. Those who can harm, murder, or rape without guilt are the ones who lack humanity.

"Immortality is a right for everyone!"
Indeed!

@Xeletoph Indeed. The only difference is where the technology is located - for example, eyeglasses to help you see are equivalent to retinal implants. The only difference is one is external to the body while the other is internal.
Great video. Are you active in Humanity+ or other similar organizations?

I like your terms "Bio-Luddites" & "Tehnophobes".

@McmullenEJ i just meant it as a metaphor to the line between humans and robots...based on your comment.

@McmullenEJ what do you mean?

@KingredDark As much as some youtubers do get revenue from their videos, I do not. And I did watch the 3 part series, and ADDTV is nothing more then a technophobic bioludite with a consparanoid and religious agenda. If you cannot see that, then I'm afraid you're the one whose not paying attention to his videos.
I'm sorry but all he does is bash science and technology while making use of a technological thereby scientific platform. He's a hypocrite.

@Xeletoph U can't compare Plastic surgery with becoming a cyborg. I won't say technology advancement is bad, because it isn't. But getting to a point were we become technology is the point were we stop being humans. Technology should remain a tool, not us becoming the tool. and yes, some people might need some type of enhance met for medical reasons, but it doesn't mean we all should implant things in our brains.

@KingredDark I can compare plastic surgery with becoming a cyborg, because 50 years ago people used to only get plastic surgery as a form of reconstruction. But today more often enough they are used for wants, not needs. The same applies to prosthesis as they will eventually overcome the ability of our natural limbs. We have always been a cyborg culture, ever since the first stone wheel or wooden spear. This is our nature. Trans-humanism is only human. It's inevitable.
