Video of 'DA', also known as Denice Stoops, the first female telegrapher who worked at KPH until the end of commercial morse operations and closure of the station in 1998.
Denice is a member of the MRHS (see them at www.radiomarine.org ) and was kind enough to drop by the CHRS ham shack during the 'Live at KRE' event on July 18, 2009. Denice brought her famous chrome plated Vibroplex 'bug' with her and made some contacts via W6CF, the CHRS James Maxwell memorial station.
Here is Denice at the key operating W6CF and communicating with a station in Texas. As you can hear, the conditions are really lousy, but DA manages to copy anyway. Amazing!
