Simon Schama calls out David Dimbleby during the BBC's election coverage. There were times when he appeared drunker—riling neocon darling John Bolton, who was sat next to him, in the process—but few when he sounded quite so silly.

further more i think the idea of calling obama schama's messiah is harsh, scharma might be alot of things to you, but one thing i will not concede is that he is anything other than a decent historian, and that means objective thought is key. obama is nothing but analysis, number 44, and schama is only excieted by the historical narrative of the event.

yes but Sabato's veiw is not key in that contention. If he is angry with anyone its Dimbleby for not calling the election. Indeed Sabato supports him. the only evidence i can see of contention is where sabato suggests that they should enjoy the moment and 'they have all night' to call the election', and i dont think he was being serious, and niether was scharma. trust me, im english, and that way of dealing with each other is common, its an ironic distain, no englishmen would think that rude.

@myloverisbillmurray Watch again, he clearly argues, with his contention being that the election should be called, and Sabato saying otherwise. The question was only part of the contention. Clearly him and Sabato are arguing over whether it is right to call the election.

And why is he pissed? His messiah was in the midst of becoming President.

Simon Schama is rude, and lacks the class that is common among English people. His intelligence does not negate this.

He may know a lot of things, but he is the classic example of Socrates' fool.

He is stupid, becuase he does not know the limits of his knowledge, arguing with Larry Sabato the world's foremost expert on American election.

His documentary on Britain was good though.
