On January 30th 2010, campaigners up and down the country took part in a mass 'overdose', swallowing a full bottle of homeopathic pills. 10:23 refers to the time of day at which the 'overdose' took place.

We chose 10:23 because unusual times are more likely to stick in the mind, and as a reference to Avogadro's number, 6.022x1023.

Of course, it isn't really an overdose, because there is nothing in it; homeopathic remedies are just plain water, or plain water dripped onto sugar pills.

The Leeds Event started with a gathering at the rail station main entrance, after distribution of T-Shirts we moved on to Boots.

  • Your friends in London were impatient of the fact that the clikpak only dispenses one pilule at a time and tried to damage their containers so that they could take all of the tablets in one handful.

I've seen it on the special branch film of the whole sad episode.

  • We have had the same experience in Leeds! And if you break the plastic container there's a glass capsule inside that shatters, so no thank you.

  • Best leave 'em to it. Some of them will see the folly of their ways if they grow up!

  • @kevinjohnmorris Good comment, shows their ignorance from a personal perspective and are just swept along with propaganda.

  • "To the best of my knowledge, there remains no refutations of Homeopathy that remain valid......"

  • Kevin I don't see which way you point is going, that we shouldn't have protested homeopathy or that we should protest the church.

As it was I can say that the majority there were atheists,

Also church donations are optional (if encouraged) homeopathy offers hope at a fixed cost of extortion a bottle.

  • What do you mean couldn't get the tops off. You quite clearly have never taken homeopathic pills before. They are made so you can only pop one out at a time.
