A production made by the Nation Geographical Society. With host,
Wade Davis, this show explores the state of Tibetan Buddhism in
Nepal, which is a huge movement and a growing one, due to the
occupation of Tibet by China. Many aspects of Tibetan Buddhism
in Nepal are explored, everything from some aspects of Tibetan
laypeople living in Nepal, to large, thriving monasteries and
Sanghas, all the way to the practice hermatice in the Himalayan

  • I had the privilege of trekking in Nepal many years ago. I had always been attracted to Buddhism but the path to Annapurna, set me on the Buddhist path. It has improved my life and those I care for. Thanks for posting this beautiful video.

  • The fundamental philosophical principle of Buddhism is that all our suffering comes about as a result of an undisciplined mind, and this untamed mind itself comes about because of ignorance and negative emotions.

Peace and the survival of life on earth as we know it are threatened by human activities that lack a commitment to humanitarian values. Destruction of nature and natural resources results from ignorance, greed and lack of respect for the earth´s living things.

  • @scottaplummer troll is obvious troll. Check yourself Sam Harris goes to buddhist retreats. Is real.

  • OM MANI PADME HUM Buddhist practice or Dharma is about true Kindness toward yourself and all sentient beings, about not eating meat and not drinking alcohol. At the Lumbini zone in Nepal we have precious Dharma Friends who practice pure Dharma with guidance of H.E. Sagar Rinpoche-founder of World Peace Envoy. May all beings benefit.
