That's actually a lie. There is no warrant required. "Properly authorized" means "if this bill passes." Also, it's not leaving a door open, it's collecting a dossier on the users of the ISP. Also, it's not just ISPs, but any public network or communication provider except bank machines. See for yourself. Bill C-30, openparliament.ca

@iamLI3 I misread your previous comment. I thought you said "Did I just learn from this video?"
-
@autumnsylver umm that's not the proper way to word the response but ok that at least clears up why i didn't follow what he was talking about......
-
@iamLI3 No. Everything he said is BS.

@erocicTheGreat That's what he seems to think, (or thinks we're stupid enough to believe) but that's not what this bill is about. It's about any "authority" being able to spy on anyone's internet activities without a warrant.
-
He must think people are stupid. The police can get a warrant to investigate someone's internet activity now. If that's all this bill is for, then why is it necessary at all? It already works that way, why would you need to pass new legislation to be able to do something you can already do?
The truth is that that isn't what this bill is about. It's about any "authority" being able to spy on anyone's internet activities WITHOUT a warrant. And that's not right. The people will not let that happen.

Basically he wants to make the Internet like a lawful state. Despicable.

@TheSilverWatch Not saying he should be dead or anything, just out of the limelight. Time to step down, SIR.

@TheSilverWatch Imagine a world without Mr Vic Toews.
Imagine a World where Mr Vic Toews decides he doesn't like some-one and directs a Police Official to invade and destroy some-ones life based upon information which is False and Inaccurate. Yes Charlie Brown there are Sick People in Government too.

I love how these people have no clue what they are talking about but if you mention child porn they are all for it. Someone could propose an internet kill switch and these people would buy it because the person representing it said "it will stop child porn". Yeah child porn is bad but these people need to get informed.
