Cops from different agencies train on how to handle an active shooter inside a building. In this case, the scenario is a couple of kids from the chess club who get bullied on facebook, then start shooting up a school. The cops aren't given any information about what's inside, beyond the 911 call.
Most of the video the officers are using bounding overwatch, and rightly so, contact is likely. But then at 0:48 they transition to traveling, and become a great area target. Why did we stop using bounding movement, and why don't we use obscuration (smoke) to get to the breach point?

Tactic, surround shooter and captives until all captives are dead! Columbine was the Keystone cops getting kids killed.
