This is from the Sacred Music Society's Christmas Concert in December 2010 in Ottawa, Canada. Conductor: Uwe Lieflander.
We had about 150 brand new Sparrows (our youth education programme) plus more experienced Sparrows plus the SMS choirs on stage. These events serve to give more stage experience to our youngsters. We always aim to do beauty with our boys and girls. J.S. Bach's 'Jesu, Joy of man's desiring' is one of the first pieces we learn in the Sparrows programme. The youngest Sparrow is 4 years old, the oldest is 16. It is amazing, what these young children can do at first try, Sponsored by the Assaly Foundation.
