My grandaughter Madison was born with BA. She had the Kasai op done at 7/8 wks old she is nearly 6mnth old now and we have just been told its failed.So she has to have a transplant now.My son David,Madisons dad is going to be a live donor.The op is penciled in for th 9th aug 2011.So we are hopeing and praying all goes well.They emigrated to Newzealand about 2 and half years ago now.They also have another little girl called Emily-Jean.God bless all these beautiful babies.

Thank you for sharing your story with everyone. My little Nivyona has BA Kasai only. Nobody really knows what BA is but thank you for Telling your Beautiful story and with a GREAT ENDING!! Thank God!

My daughter was diagnosed w/ biliary atresia @ 6 weeks old they did the Kasai procedure 5/21/1997 @ childrens hospital in Detroit then in 2000 she was put on the transplant list 1/21/2003 when Ciana was 5 years old she had a Liver Transplant.... Ciana is now 13trs old & very healthy 4 a transplant kid

God bless you Adrae.. My daughter was born with Biliary Atresia as well. She had the Kasai done at 2 months old.. And we've been in childrens hospital alot for infections. But now my babygurl is 4 years old, and she is inactive on the liver transplant list and growing and doing very well

Wow, no Kansai or Liver Transplant?
I've never heard of that before.. well I think I went through a Kansai and some other surgery to correct structural problems, but that's it. Hope she grows up well! :D

no, he did not had a kasai or even a transplant . He is now 2 years-old.
