Maxine Lee, a wannabe Paris Hilton, lives an empty lifestyle of excess funded by near maxed-out credit cards. She escapes her lonely and shallow life when she meets "Noodle" in a nightclub bathroom and persuades him to take her along on his trip to the Sierras. Stranded in the mountains without her usual comforts in life (including alcohol), Maxine is forced to rough it in the wilderness where she unexpectedly discovers the powerful beauty of nature. On their trip, Maxine falls in love with Noodle, and for the first time, she feels comfortable to tell someone the secrets of her past. Yet Noodle also has secrets of his own, and cannot bring himself to open up to Maxine. An unexpected event occurs and Maxine's life is turned completely upside down. Her perspective in life changes drastically, and she returns to her home Los Angeles a changed person forever. Part comedy and part drama, I AM THAT GIRL is an unforgettable love story set against the majestic backdrop of the Sierras.
