So you think there are no bears in Algonquin Park? This guy and others were terrorizing Ragged Lake. This was taken on July 13, 2006. Rangers shot his buddy on July 14.

  • its all the campground dwellers that pollute the park with food scraps not disposed of properly, you are more likely to see a bear in the campground then 10km in the interior of the park. its too bad there are such idiots.

  • hang your food up you knob then the bears wont come.

read a book or two about camping and these bears wont have to be taken away from their natural land.

  • People terrorize...not animals.

  • Terrorizing? haha Silly humans.

  • Clean up after yourselves, put the garbage far away from your site, and bear hang or canoe your food far away its not hard, bears just need to smell it away from your site.

  • Bear hang it buds.

  • Just saw this video and your response..Ragged lake is in the interior of Algionqion Park..During the day, bear are quit frequent to this area due to the cottages located just north of this lake(Smoke Lake)...Blame the cottagers....not he campers here. I will be the first to admit I HATE the city people who leave thier garbage laying around in campgrounds., but I don't think this was the case here.

  • Put your food away properly its not the bear's fault that they're drawn to improperly stored food. I can't believe how stupid you people are: 'terrorizing?!' its your own damn fault that the bears came to your site. Learn a bit more about wildlife before you go camping next time, your stupidity cost a bear its life, I hope you're ashamed of yourselves.

  • Ignorant city people that think they know the outdoors should stay in the city.

Too bad the black bear didn't eat you.

  • shame on the people who shot them, shame shame shame
