Taikyoku kata are the simplest form of Katas, followed by the Heian series which is maybe 2 steps above Taikyoku in difficulty . They are supposed to be very basic. It teaches the new students the basics of all kata to follow. Most kata flow in this simple pattern with the exceptions being the most difficult to master like Jion, Hangetsu, etc.

@xBringMe115x an examiner will never time you, as far as you do it fast enough...

@inuyashaXDful left is always first as far as I know

@PzS100 That's not the point. That's all about approaching perfection in techniques, without reaching it anyway. Kata are done for reflexes. But I do agree this looks mechanical. Doing them is far less pleasant than just watching, believe me, especially if it's a test, on which depends your belt.

I don't like this practice because I think that Human beings are not robots.
Whatever, thanks for your vid !

I kept getting mixed up with right and left and I got yelled at :o

I'm currently kyu 1, and those moves were very crisp and nice, but this form is supposed to take between 46-50 seconds, 48 being your target.

This is the problem with putting videos on youtube. you get all the "Experts" putting up their opinion. I checked for some of their videos and find nothing. As a 40 year practitioner of the martial arts. The techniques diplayed here are sound. Maybe the techniques are not what one person was taught, but then it is an intrepretation of what they see and what their body can do. Put your money where your mouth is and let us see your video so we may see your techniques.
