I'm not sure but isn't the Lantern he comes with The Sinestro Corps Battery? I think the Lantern you're thinking of is his first Battery. I'm Pretty sure the New Sinestro Corps Lantern looks like that. But I could be wrong.

Dope review dude, ya that old Sinestro sucks. I have a cool custom of the old Sinestro head on a yelloe lantern batman body. Pretty sweet!

My DCD Sinestro Corps Sinestro is definitely one of/if not my most favorite figure that I own. But you are right he was pricey. I paid about 60 bucks for him loose but complete with a yellow lantern base.
