  • what do you think about those wrestlers that will just clinch a guy up against the fence for 3 rounds straight? thats what happened in andre winners last fight. the wrestler just put him against the fence and held him there for 3rounds, no action.

  • GSP, Jake Shields, & Jon Fitch get a bad rap as being boring, but they at least make an effort to finish their fights. GSP would have taken Hardy's arm home with him if it wasn't made of rubber. Shields got criticized for not being able to KO Dan Henderson with his G&P, even though Henderson's NEVER been KO'd! Fitch has made every one of his opponents (except GSP) look like amateurs.

Guys like Gray Maynard & Nik Lentz are the epitome of boring fighters.

  • personally I blame the scoring system & the rules. American rules favor the grappler. The fact that you can't kick a down opponent in the face & therefore have to get into punching distance which makes you easier to takedown sucks. I don't mind grappler's at all but boring fighters in my opinion are fighters that take the fight down & never pass guard, rarely throw any strikes & never go for any submissions. Same with stand up fights that involve no striking. Just my thoughts.

  • I as a fan enjoy MMA for everything it is, i even consider grappling to be very intense when you know how it feels to have your back against the mat, it's strategically intense but then i can understand my father, he isn't much into fighting sports but he does enjoy a good kick boxing match and MMA fights that involve strikers and his point is that striking is just much more enjoyable because, in a nutshell, it's enjoyable to watch violent behavior.

  • @Noobzoo19 yeah true, im not "racist" toward ground fighters, and iknow its just sport but i wanna see fighting. As far as im concerned if your on the ground for longer than a few seconds youre in trouble

  • @wiscsnowlover that fight was rediculous...they were both afraid to pull the triger.

  • Respond to this video... i think some fighters are more exciting than others but, it is'nt fair to go as far as saying this person is a boring fighter. for 1.he's got the nuts to be in there.

2.if all he can do is survive, well thats his problem.

3.most people like to see fighters moving forward and not back peddling. it just is what it is.

& i hate people that boo during a fight!!!

  • you hit the nail right on the head by the way

  • @TheBamBamBoom have you seen brock lesnar fight? hes a wrestler and his fights are so exciting and Cains and Shane Carwin also Ryan bader and alot more fighters

  • wrestlers that dont engage in fighting and just play it safe ARE boring! But i agree that its not boxing its mma- an ever evolving sport helping strikers to become complete fighters, as much as i used to talk shit about them i have to thank those boring arse wrestlers.

  • mir/ crocop was boring. i fell asleep

  • Thank god, someone who knows what he's talking about. If your expecting for the strikers to adapt to wrestling why can't the wrestlers adapt to striking, or even BJJ.
