Este el proceso que desarrollo cuando se trata de afilar las cuchillas de los cepillos de banco y testas. Un filo con curvatura no lo aplico a cepillos de rebajes, guillamenes, cepillos de ingletes, cepillos de ajustes o cualquier cepillo que tenga la cuchilla enrasada con un lateral del cuerpo. Tambien reservo los cepillos grandes como junteras con el filo recto en sus cuchillas para realizar un cepillado en el canto de dos tablones a unir con cierto angulo. Una caracteristica que mejora la tecnica en la union a tope para la elaboracion de sobres de mesa o superficies amplias

  • So this is for a blade that is curved and you make it straight, correct? From title, I thought you would sharpen a curved blade like for a Stanley 40 plough plane.

  • @wmcrash thanks a lot for your words. This is the only and best method to sharpen all the bench plane blades and block plane blades. When you buy a plane the blabe comes out straight then yuo have to put a .05 mm camber to the edge. Having this edge you are able to plane edge boards or any surface perfectly square. With a straight edge on your blades the work is very hard almost impossible unless you use a shooting board
