Iain Lampert (Cleveland HS) delivers his final Impromptu speech before a panel of five judges. As with any CA Impromptu speech, he had two minutes to think and five to speak spontaneously on any given topic.

Prompt: "He who can lick can bite." ~ French Proverb

The sound quality is NOT the best; it was recorded by a member of the audience (the luminous Sara Naor). This was a lot of fun.

  • This is hands down the best Impromptu speech I've seen. I used to compete in NorCal and the typical history-political-social example cycling doesn't compare with this kid's sense of humor, fluidity, presentation and charisma. Damn this guy can work the crowd.

  • Met this guy today at a forensics workshop, he's awesome.
