Pam's Cross Stitch - Sewing Pictures

Hi everybody!! I have made a vid of my cross-stitching talent :) I've been sewing since i was 14, my mum taught me the basics, other than that, i self-taught myself the rest. Although i stitch patterns from craft-books, i also create patterns by turning photo's/pictures from magazines, books etc into cross-stitch designs. I draw the charts freehand (not by a computer cd-rom).

I only create self-made charts (ones including copyright material) for myself or family/friends for free. I do not recieve any profit from them, ever!!

On the vid (i hope they're clear...) i have written notes about the picture, like what part i designed or the title of the group or where the picture came from...

I have included 2 songs in this vid, they are:

Jolene sung by Dolly Parton, composed by Dolly Parton, taken from album Jolene, 1972

She Sells Sanctuary sung by The Cult, composed by Billy Duffy, taken from album Love, 1985

(If any of the info above is incorrect, i shall find right information and re-correct it)

I DO NOT own these two songs, nor do i have any involvement in their creation, distribution or any kind of input. These two songs are simply used for non-profit reasons and background music ONLY!!!

People who think sewing is just for 'old people' and 'it's boring' are plain silly. Cross-stitch is relaxing, calming and lets your creative juices flow, stimulates your mind and makes you focus/concentrate. You don't have to be a scientist to say these positive reaction, words :) It's not just for women, men can also sew!!! These myths are so old and tiresome, aren't they!!

Cross Stitch is more harder then the one i did...but i don;t know what is it called??

is use short different color of yarn and do a stitch,do u know what is that called???

Cross-Stitch might look difficult at first but it's actually an easy stitch to do.

I'm not sure what stitch you're referring to, sorry! I've pretty much learnt cross-stitch only. Tapestry, Embroidery are other forms of sewing. One stitch at a time is known as back-stitch, if this is similar.

Is there any video's on YT, that have the same stitches as you've done or have YOU uploaded a video of your sewing?

WOW! Amazing that you can chart out a picture. My mom and both of my sisters' do cross-stitch (I don't have the patience!), but I don't think they've ever tried creating their own designs - they just buy kits or instructions.

I really like the Celtic cross on your mum's birthday sampler, and the black panther, of course :)
