X-Fire E6 - Project Phoenix - Part 1 of 8

After a *slight* delay caused by my video capture card expiring, here is the first in what will hopefully be a set of X-Fire captures. I realise there is another version out there, but I think this is slightly higher quality. However, it was originally recorded on a cheap VHS recorder for my own use, so don't expect miracles. Channel 4 no longer offer this on their on-line archive and, so far as I am aware, is not available in any other format.

In 2001 UK broadcaster Channel 4 aired a series of gameshows under the name X-Fire. Based around paintballing, each week it pitted a civilian team against a set of 'experts'. It was innovative and highly entertaining, but unfortunately a few weeks into the run some terrorists decided to fly planes into the World Trade Centre and Channel 4 pulled the series. The series recommenced at a later date but no further programmes were commissioned.

And no, those female chests are not real...

Thanks :) nothing fancy was used, a 40 quid 2-head VHS VCR, Compro U2800F USB tuner stick, capped at the highest bit rate and then cropped slightly and squished with Gordian Knot to 10MB/min for uploading, preserving the original full resolution. YouTube detects this as HD so doesn't compress it as much. The original was broadcast slightly oversaturated and with odd contrast / gamma.

I'm not sure to be honest. At the time I just recorded them on whatever random VHS tape had free space, with no real intention of archiving them. I will have a good rummage in the loft and see what I have. :)

I watched this show religiously when it was on. Hellmet was my fave out of the Special Forces, but Morgan was a badass as well. I think he had the most emulsifications throughout the series.
