Brings back beautiful memories of my choir from Geneva College singing this in the monasteries/cathedrals and churches in Poland, Germany and Ireland. Love it.

Excellent rendition. We used to sing the English version (same melody) of the song during my days with the Blessed Sacrament Choir at Sta. Church Manila; its very, very uplifting!

This piece was written by Louis Lewandowski (April 23, 1823 - February 4, 1894), a German composer of synagogue music. It's a nice performance, sung in the original Hebrew. (Whoever posted this video ought to mention Lewandowski's name in the description so people looking for it could find it!)
