I would like to play this game. Where is it?
-
@die4pie123 At least until Rainbow Dash happened.
-
It looks like Rainbow Man has a HUGE Head compared to his body in this sprite.

Very good
-
i rather this version
-
this sounds like a slightly evil circus
-
@StitchedXOnXSmiles now that makes sense. thanks!

Well, it's not necessarily the name of the character that makes it. Making a Rainbow Woman would've been unoriginal, expected and somewhat sexist. To a certain extent I can see what you mean, but the character design for a male, rainbow-themed Robot Master would fit more, because the reason he was named Rainbow Man was not after the rainbow you see in a sky, but a prism of light that gives of a multi-colored beam. That's his theme. Lasers and beams.

@StitchedXOnXSmiles what i ment was doesn't rainbow man (no offfense MegaPhilX) sound kinda that it would be on a girl character? no boys i know like rainbows.
-
That seems a bit sexist.
I still don't like this song compared the the original but I have to ask: will Megaman be able to charge his buster and slide?

He should be able to slide, but not charge his buster.
The charge shot should probably become available as a secret unlockable.

I figured out why this really doesn't sound like a MM song.
Mega Man songs generally don't have the same notes being played on two different square waves at the same time, which is an effect you use a lot.

The parts where I play the same notes at the same time are mostly used to create the "echo" effect. Like what we find in the Stage Select theme from MM5, Flash in the Dark from MM9 or JewelMan Stage from MM9 (At the beginning).
They are not really played at the same time though. Here, I use 2 different instruments. The one in Square 2 starts a little bit after it triggers. It also has a slightly lower pitch. This produces that "echo" effect. You can't get this effect with only one square track.

You do know you can have more than one effect in a channel, right?
