@kiwis0uth The germans used gasoline (aircraft grade) as well. The major difference is the Germans put their fuel tanks in areas of the tanks that were better protected than the American fuel tanks. The Germans thought about diesel, but they were too heavy and too prone to failure in the 1940's to be used in tanks. The russians did use diesel, and their T-34 and KV tanks suffered worse engine problems than the germans had.

Which biville is meant here?
-
Ronson's, but a lot of the British tanks lit up on the first strike as well. Petrol engines. What did you expect. The Germans had diesel engines I think

All those boys killed in that war profiteering GM death trap!!!!!!!
The HARD truth.

I would love to go into a time-machine next to one of those wrecks. Then you can see those tanks slowly come alive! And in the end you will going to see troops fighting with it.
Thinks like this always go around in my head when I see things like this.

@TheGyldenlove if they broen down we would repair them onley time we leave are armour is when its a total loss
-
@billy3rdkill0311 At least some of them just appear to have broken down and been left there.
-
@ozfbody there original resting place is a better museum than any museum you have to pay to see! besides these are too far gone for restoration
-
@ozfbody they are graves
If this was in the UK someone would have nicked them and sold them as scrap metal for a fiver.
