    Because they hadn't been built or completed it yet. The Pirates of the Caribbean was the final Disneyland attraction that Walt Disney oversaw much of the creation of, but it didn't open until April of 1967, four months after Walt Disney died. The Haunted Mansion wasn't completed until 1969.

    What fun! Need to plan my solo trip to Disneyland. I just want to spend a couple days soaking in the memories. Hard to believe that I grew up 40 miles from the park - going about three times a year (even attended my high school graduation night there!) -  Been over 15 years since the last time I was there - way too long. Need to make up for lost time. A truly magical place.
