Playa Del Carmen 2011

Playa Del Carmen is one of the fastest growing cities in Mexico. Tourists wander 5th Avenue lined with stores catering to vacationers with typical t-shirts, sarongs and other trinkets.
There are restaurants catering to North American and European tastes and some charming boutique hotels along 5th Avenue. It seems all to quaint until one takes a taxi around Playa and sees the city stretching out further and further with rows of houses, shopping malls and even a new Walmart.
