Toronto - August 20 2009 Tornado Storm Approaching

Another major storm rips through Toronto and the GTA producing a lot of rain and lightning and possible tornadoes north and west of the city. On the left you can see several transformer explosions near the start of the video. You see the rain approach from the west like a wall.

What do you think about the H106? The shots look really good!

Great!! 2 problems: No viewfinder. When you use it on a sunny day all you can see is yourself reflected in the LCD screen, so it is very hard to track a subject. Also, focusing is bad in low light and low contrast scenes. It did better than I expected in this case. You can see that it doesn't focus in the first shot even though it isn't all that dark. Otherwise, excellent quality. I watched some raw footage on my 42" plasma and it looked MUCH better than I expected! Much better than on YouTube!

Thats sounds pretty good.. is the SSD technique as promising as you expected?

Well, I have never owned a video camera before so I cant really compare. But it does start up fast - around 6-7 seconds or less I think and works pretty quick. The touch screen LCD is cool too! When I plug it into a computer via USB it shows up as a HD and I just copy the files off. Very nice. The software is also stored right on the camera and installs on whatever computer you plug it into. I had a lot of problems with the video editor and bought a different one though.
