  • So THAT'S what that noise is every morning at 6 A.M.

I really wish they weren't so damned noisy. They're beautiful, but the squawking they do is just so annoying!!

  • They have a really annoying squawk at 6am

  • I saw hundreds of these beauties in my backyard this whole week. They come back every year about this time but I have never seen so many before this week. last year there were approx. 7 last year. WOW they sure are noisy !!!!!!

  • @SueNamiii the story i heard was they escaped from Bush Gardens before it closed.

They are certainly a new addition to Los Angeles. They certainly didn't exist here

20 years ago. Things change.. I Cr 13:8a

  • lol 0:01 it pooped

  • I see them almost every day. They woke me up this morning. Now i have to deal with them, crows, and pigeons.

  • From what I've read, the pet store story is just a rumor. I heard they came from an aviary in Arcadia, off the 210 fwy, they were supposed to have only 30 parrots in 1 enclosure, but had 300 (supposedly). One day the net tore & they all escaped. That's probably an urban myth too. Google "feral parrots Los Angeles" and you'll find articles. Bottom line, they're beautiful, and endangered in South America. Glad they're safe here.

  • OMG I live in Hollywood and I see/hear them all the time. They're so loud lol. I've heard they were released from a burning pet store in Hollywood years ago to prevent them from burning and they have been breeding all over Los Angeles or California ever since.

  • We live in Covina and there are quite a few in our town, even though to me they look like the African Grey type parrot

  • those fools always eat my back yard apples

  • @italpe1 Thank you for the info. That is all really good to know!

  • duuude i'm not high!!! those really were parrots i saw today!
