Dude.... I've lived in Charlotte all my life. You're on the Billy Graham exit off of I85 and you know that's right over the Charlotte Douglas Airport...... those are airplanes!!!!!! Stop Playin.

I live in 36 miles south east of charlotte and i have seen this too. Many times, looks like it is over charlotte, it is huge and bright it fades out and then shows back up, i have looked at it through binoculars it does have a triangular shape but i have seen it change shapes and look more cigar shaped. Glad i am not the only one who has seen it. made a believer out of my husband i have been watching these things for 5 years now.

Not sure where this was taken, but I live about 25/ 30 mins away from airport. I see and hear planes and helicopters all the time, so I can tell the difference.

All BS aside I live in Charlotte, NC. I can vouch for this light or apparition. I have seen it too and it is way brighter than a star, doesn't move like a plane and it just sits in the sky. Very weird....
