BMW E46 330i 3 Series Bluetooth Parrot ck3000 & Connects2 CTPPAR007 Installation
Making a Handsfree Voice Call using the Bluetooth Parrot ck3000 & Connects2 CTPPAR007 that installs behind the dash and works like the OEM Factory Bluetooth

The OEM kit displays the called ID on the radio when someone calls. You're also able to scroll through your phonebook on the car display. (that's what I've heard). The Parrot CK3000 evo / Connects2 kit allows you to use the Steering wheel controls for the following: - Answer - hangup - Adjust the volume of the Speaker phone - switch between speaker phone and cell phone - redial last number - Voice Dialing IF the Cell phone supports DATA push. (iphone doesn't suport it, but voice dial on the iphone still works. Once you dial a number on your phone, it goes straight into speaker phone) The sound comes out of your stereo when you're using speakerphone. It mutes the radio when you get a call. The Kit syncs up to your bluetooth phone each time you turn on your car. You'll hear a beep and the radio will flash "phone" to let you know it sync'd up properly. You don't need the ugly Parrot controller for anything but it needs to be plugged in order for the Parrot BT to function properly and to change the settings. Plugged in you can tuck in behind the glovebox or dash.

  • is the car or you phone speaking..??

    (did u say: call...)

  • good question:

It is the car speakers that the sound comes out of. The parrot ck3000 mic that input the commands from my voice and the phone does the rest.

  • That is actually my voice on the machine. I recorded that for my Mom like 7 years ago when I helped her set up the house phone.

Install was like 30 minutes. If you ever connected LEGO blocks before as a child and you can unscrew a screw then you can do this DIY in less than an hour. It easy and relatively cheap (I paid like $80 for the CTPPAR007 and $30 for a new Parrot ck3000 kit on eBay) and it does everything the $1,000 OEM kit does except caller's ID scroll on the older CD 53 radios.

  • Awsome. How was the install? Did it take you that long?

Also, your mom sounds kind of like a dude :)

  • I will post up a Pictorial DIY for this over the weekend at the e46fanactics, bimmerforums, e46zone, bimmerfest and bimmerwerkz websites.

  • I love my 328i. Only mod is a Signature Motoring performance intake kit. They run around $170 and add up to 9HP in the E46 323/325/328 and up to 13.9HP in the 330. That's about $17/per extra HP... A good value for the extra oomph. General HP increases are shown:

    E30 series: 6.0-13.4hp gain

    E36 series: 5.5-12hp gain

    E46 series: 6.0-13.9hp gain

    E92 series: 8.5+ hp gain

    Z3/Z4 (all): 5.5-13.9hp gain

See my channel videos for action!

  • His Mom dont wnat to talk to him lol..

  • I have an E46 330i and the only performance item I have is the Signature Motoring performance CAI for about $160. The performance kit adds around 13.5HP on the dyno, sounds freaking great, and installs in under 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

    -13.5 HP increase

    -Lifetime filter

    -SOUND AWESOME

    -30 min. install time

Aside from the power gain, the SOUND is amazing at higher RPM but sounds normal in regular driving. I’m thinking about added high-flow exhaust next.

  • Great vid and nice car too

When you said "Call Mom", do you have to set a voice command on your phone first for it to detect "Mom"?

  • Hey Olaf, I'm also thinking of getting this for my e46. What I wanted to know is if the kit will work even though I already have the Dice module for my ipod. In other words, does this kit take up any of the connections that the dice kit would take up?

  • I just bought the ck3000 off of ebay and im going to buy the ctppar007 and copy you haha. I have a 2002 330ci with the business radio can I use the same connector? On all the websites it says I need the ctppar008 for 2002 and later but I read somewhere that you said the 007 works

  • Your car is beautiful!

    Greetings from ROMANIA!

  • I that awsome DIY guide you posted on E36fanatics, thanks! I'm going to do this this weekend.

Did you play around with placing the mic anywhere other than the stock position? I was wondering if I should put mine on the A pillar on the driver side... have you had any complaints or is the microphone good quality?

    thanks again!

    Jonathan.
