Neat art! What is the artist using-chalk?

He was using a foam like pad dipped into different color paint. It was neat because there were different colors on different sides/edges/corners of the foam, so when he drew, he had good control of what color he wanted and sometimes all the colors at the same time!

i got one of these made for me, my sis and sis in law in california.. watching the artist make it was pretty cool. i love them. i wish i got more hehe.

people do this same exact style in like every major city in america, I always wonder what makes them do the exact same thing as the guy a block away... I'd try to find my own angle, but whatever.
