CORAL RIDGE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, U.S. It was founded in 1960 by D. James Kennedy (19302007), who served as the church's senior pastor until his death in 2007. The present church seating 2,800 persons was dedicated in February, 1974, by famed evangelist Billy Graham. The Westminster Academy and Knox Theological Seminary, also in Ft. Lauderdale, are affiliated with the church. The current senior pastor is W. Tullian Tchividjian, a grandson of Billy Graham, who succeeded Kennedy as senior pastor of the church in April, 2009.

Under pastor D. James Kennedy, the church's weekly services were televised nationwide in the U.S. since 1978. It became affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America denomination on May 16, 1978. The church espouses a traditional Calvinist theology and its motto is "On earth as it is in heaven".

  • It's not the building, but the people who are the church. The building is beautiful, but on the other hand a tent in africa filled with christians is beautful too!!! :D

  • @robrtarnold I agree with you, God be praise

  • What a beautiful place, who knows some day I'll be there

  • @Vinocaful in fact, a beautiful place and nice, I also want to know these beautiful churches

  • Presbyterian and Reformed Churches are the same church , with very slight differences .

I am a French Protestant , reformed , belonging to the " Eglise réformée de France " ( Reformed Church of France ) , persecuted harshly in the past ( " Huguenots " ) , I spent a year in Scotland and took part to the services of the ( presbyterian ) Church of Scotland , the " Kirk " , and I could see no significant difference with the reformed Church of my country ...

  • @parpaillotcamisard Parpaillotcamisard Dear, I'm glad you have viewed my video, I see many hymns retired internet in the account Denniswubs many congregational hymns and I really like.

Where do you live? I meet many countries in Europe, I know all these churches. I'm traditional, attended the Evangelical Church in Brazil, visiting many churches as you can see in my account.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    Alisson Thadeu of Brazil

  • @pertencoacristo those organs are beautiful, i wish my church would play theirs, instead they are covered, have been for a LONG time, by curtains...what a shame and waste of such a great instrument.

  • What a great man of God Dr. D. James Kennedy was. It makes me think of two things that could have been read at Dr. Kennedy's funeral (if they weren't) 2 Timothy 3 "I have fought a good fight, I have ran the race and I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is a crown of righteousness laid up for me." Also, "Well done my Child, you are now welcome home." Does anyone know if there's any place I could go to see Kennedy's funeral? I was too young when he died to realize who he was. I'd love to see it

  • :( no more choir. It was the best. Had 1,00s of friends...and aquaintances. Wish someday that they'll realize that, back at Coral Ridge...and get get Pastor Sam back....somehow. And have the Wilson's directing the music department. So sad. I wish i had treasured it while it lasted. Long live the Kings and Angels.

  • Hard to see Dr. Kennedy's casket. He was the finest of the TV preachers.

  • good choir, the organ is too, too much. It turns it all into a carnival...don't you think. You should have spent more on the charmless building's interior. Onward, christian soldiers. Where is God anywhere here, this is all man's creation. Look after the people in your community before this!
