You may have missed the sarcastic part? Of course it doesn't take 11 minutes. A blackberry can take up to 30 seconds to scan a QR code. Most will never wait that long. And by any chance, are you part of a business that sells QR code services?

Please dont take my comments personnal :) QR codes are beautiful, specially the custom ones, and still work. If you use a Blackberry use the correct reader (QR Code Scanner Pro). Its amazing.... and YES I'm in the QR code business.

you call me stupid and then say don't take them personally? Right.

"YES I'm in the QR code business." Awesome. That's what I thought. Thanks for the laugh.

Great video... the modern equivalent of putting a homepage link from your homepage, with the title "Home" - same as every other bookmarked "Home". I am an artist considering QR code (v-card style) on t-shirts I wear to art venues (logo with website on front, QR on back). I figure more people carry smart phones than pen & paper to these shows. still no substitute for a business card, but they'll have to ask me for that as I haven't found a mind reading marketing app... yet.

If you are creating QR codes and not tracking them, as Scott says, "STOP IT!" You're missing out on crucial data like the number of scans, the time of the scan, what device was used, or even where it was scanned. Check out QReate And Track's site for more info.

One other thing that people may not be aware of is that QR codes are very sensitive to the image size that they are processing, the QR Code bits have to be a certain size to scan properly / easily. The problem with most scanning apps is that they are set to create low res images. This also makes it close to impossible to scan high density QR Codes. I came upon this trying to explore the limits or QR Codes - 70000+ digits, 4000+ Alphanumeric (all caps) and close to 3000 normal characters.

If you can tap on the QR Code on your email and directly call the sender, or get directions to a meeting place, wouldn't that be something? The problem here is you tap the QR Code and it requires you to do so many other things before you get to use it.

The whole world does not revolve around marketing, QR Codes and prior to that barcodes have been in use by industry since the 1950s 60 years later you have a phone that can scan a barcode and a way to create those barcodes and QR Codes on your own. That is power and that is the thing that attracts me to QR Code. Frankly the ad agencies and the owners of billboard space need to be educated in using and pricing QR Code Ads and it is very obvious that to treat them as any other print ad is wrong.

Everything has pros and cons just need to know how to use them. Emailing QR codes to clients are pretty dumb who ever did that should be fired.
