What do you think of lab-grown meat? "Yuck" might be your first reaction. According to professor Mark Post, however, it could become the environmentally friendly alternative for breeding cows and pigs for meat consumption.

SO awesome total star trek tech, in a episode they talk about the fact they no longer imprison and slaughter animals for there meet. I would like to see this tech in the grocery stores in the next 5 years. i would pay twice for my steak to know it did not involve killing an animal.
