@chrissomerry Yeah not everyone is into whaling, Im faroese and i whale, But you will never stop it because it is faroese way of life and our culture.

i sound like a douche with my pronunciation of this and i'm usually really good! awesome language!
As a viking re-enactor, I really want to be some-what fluent, or at least have a few learned phrases

@lyselampe Fjøllini standa úti. check my account if you wanna listen to a full upload of the song, with lyrics too.

@lyselampe Faroese have like an american R maybe a bit like the northern norwegians.
In western norway they have completly diffrent R's.

I can't watch the video atm due to slow internet, but good to see the Faroese language being propagated ;)

@tasteegold777 Dude, not every Faroese speaker is into whaling. That's like implying that all English speakers like invading other countries and killing middle-easterners because our armies are in the middle-east fighting some war over a debatable point. For someone apparently so pro-intelligent-animal-rights (whales), you seem rather hypocritical using "monkey" as an insult! So play nice, since the language is unrelated to any moral issues that you seem to be applying to all Faroese people.

You have the same -r- as some of our northern dialects in Norway.
Very funny language!
What´s the name of the song, by the way?

Best language everrr

This is very interesting. Faroese seems to jump over some consonants.
