Dog Advocate Charged with Trespassing for Helping Freezing Pennsylvania Dogs

Dogs Deserve Better's Tamira Thayne and volunteers visited dogs left chained outside in Pennsylvania during the coldest night of the year, 7 degrees with a wind chill of -11. After helping two underweight chained dogs, both with inadequate shelter, by providing them with straw, food, and water, and returning three days later in a second attempt to speak to the caretakers, she was charged with defiant trespass.

Trouble with that is, she was only screamed at to leave one time, the second time she was attempted to speak to someone. Defiant Trespass requires the person to be told to leave once and they in essence defy this request.

The caretaker is lying by claiming that Thayne was told to leave twice. This is completely false, and Thayne has a witness. Will that be enough for a Pennsylvania courtroom? That remains to be seen, February 16th at 9:30 in the Portage, PA district court on main street.

This is disgusting. People who hate animals should not have them! They only have animals for something to look down on, but they're delusional....the animals are so much better than them, and the people know it subconsciously, and they're jealous...thus comes the abuse.

It is an absolute outrage that a caring citizen is charged with a crime when that citizen attempts to aid an animal who clearly is in distress!

Since when is knocking on your neighbor's door to inform them that their dog is freezing to death a crime?

Yes, you most certainly can be charged with a crime based on eyewitness testimony. The entire purpose of the "justice" system is to (hopefully) ascertain the facts and who, if anyone is lying and punish people appropriately. How else would anyone EVER be charged with a crime? The accused merely yells "liar, liar, pants on fire" and can't be charged? You hurt your credibility and cause when you make outlandish, uneducated statements.
