Yes, that was unexpected. The USian way is usually to "save the day" by bombing the shit out of everyone, killing some children, and then torturing the hell out of everyone left standing.

It's more like the logical evolution of transforming robots in Japan. Transformers for the Japanese, if you will. Braves were reused molds, yes, but they added enough to Gaogaigar and the later Braves to be a wonderful alternative, rather than a rip-off.

I love the goldion hammer music, its epic!

What I like about it is it brings like every Japanese superhero robot cliche together under the same roof.

@MegaManX1415 Umm, that's what I just said. ^_^;;
Also found out that he voiced Girinma from Yes! PreCure 5, and in a recent episode of Gokaiger, he voiced the younger of the Sneak Brothers.
This VA seems to do a lot of villain roles.

@BluntmanEXE No, Viral is voiced by the same actor who voiced guy.
Also, to actually help instead of nitpick grammar, Said actor ALSO voices link. Listen to a few of his screams...its most noticeable as viral, during the sword fight with Kamina.
...Wow... the subbers got Hikari ni NARE wrong? -_- Fail

@BulletOn3 Yeah, the group that did the subbing got it wrong for a few episodes before they realized it was Nare and not Nara. It's reasonable, since how Hiyama pronounces it in the show could be heard as Nara. If I recall correctly, they fixed it by episode 26 but never fixed any of the previous episodes.

isn't this show infamous for giving people seizures and being a transformers ripp-off?
ThePowerfulOnes 1 year ago
@ThePowerfulOnes I haven't heard anything about seizures, but it's definitely not a transformers rip-off. It's an homage to the old super robot shows from the 1970s, such as GoLion, Mazinger Z, etc. For example, Broken Magnum is a tribute to Rocket Punch. Also, transformable and/or combining robots were around long before Transformers, which came out in the 80s.
