What I love about this film is that Barker tried to do something original with the mythology behind stuff. It's not just a rehash of the same expectations for how things work. People get hurt and stay hurt, people are visibly afraid. Really well done in a lot of ways; didn't get the credit it deserves. I'm not sure I picked up on all the Director's Cut changes, but it helped make me NOT feel sorry for Nix's followers, which is fine by me :)
