Thrust reversers don't generate downforce, they generate stopping power. Also you shouldn't use the term "throttle" when referring to a turbine engine, just say "thrust" or "power".

NO this is a target type thurst reverser not a clamshell, the clam shells were on the B727

iv been on many 737 around one of them had that reverse throttle tecnique but its old

its a pretty old plane this aircraft is out of production this reverse thrust is seen on 737-100 and -200 also and on the md80

This type is called a 'clamshell', or bucket reverser. the Boeing 737-100 and -200 had them. Also the MD-80,81,82,83,87,88 and MD-90. The Concorde has them too.
