MaximumRd look at Intellivoice and Games Prt. 1

Here I look at the add on module for the Intellivision system the Intellivoice Voice Synthesis Module. A cool way to add voice to games, unfortunatley the limited memory resulted in low qaulity voice samples. Only 5 games officially produced with one (World Series Major League® Baseball) required an additional add on the ECS computer exspansion. Does the voice come out of the TV speakers or the modulator itself?

@LarryBundyJr BOTH If I remember correctly, my follow up video with captured gameplay clearly plays in game sounds as well as the voice

The ECS is worth getting if you can get it if the price is not too high because there are more then just 1 game for it and if you get the Home Brew game Space Patrol a very well done clone of Moon Patrol it takes advantage of the extra sound chanels found in the ECS and so does Song Player.

@MaximumRD No, it's just the TV. The Intellivoice module only has a volume knob on it, that's it.

the ECS was originally a module which added a keyboard and it boosted the capability to 32bit

@MaximumRD actually the cartridges do contain sampled sounds, but the intellivoice itself contains some samples as well.
