Artist, Activist Anthony Papa who is the Manager of Media Relations for the Drug Policy Alliance on Marvin Scott's show Close Up on WPIX. He talks about his book 15 to Life, the Rockefeller Drug Law and voting in regards to felony disenfranchisement.
As the brother of a felon who can't vote and as a supporter of the democratic process I am personally disgusted by felon disenfranchisement. Look at every law based on morality. Do these have any concrete backing? No, it's just the result of the moral opinion of whoever cast their vote to make them illegal. With Disenfranchisement, all you do is silence the voices of those that disagree with a law. And all that does is prevent the democratic process from working properly.

I totally disagree with encouraging everyone to vote. The problem facing our Democratic Process is ignorance. Those who are ignorant are persuaded by advertising and propaganda and should not vote. Only those who are interested enough to study the Foundations of our Republic and its traditions should vote. This would nullify the manipulations and deceptions which control our elections.
