@Fastspoolsupra compressor surge kills most engines and turbo and it completly different to this sound this is turbo flutter compressor surge is when the turbo spools and wont stop spooling and forces outrageous amounts of boost into the engine dont belive me cheack out this /watch?v=nCj6Spwl1CU

Compressor surge can not and will not ever spin compressor blades backwards. At most it will stress the shaft because the back pressure from closing the TB will WANT to spin the compressor backwards but it's being forced to spin normally by the turbine wheel. Saying you will spin your compressor backwards is jsut about as stupid as assuming that when it does so your engine will start running backwards and intaking fresh air into the exhaust ports and exiting it out the intake...
