  • Does the moss supercharger actually work? Does it blow gaskets, throw rods etc?

  • I didnt mean for my comment to be attatched to your comment. I thought I was only making a general reply. My bad.

  • I do know what I'm talking about. I mean that Ive watched probably all of John Twists videos and he does have a certain humour about him in this one. You dont suppose that if he was talking about getting real performance out of the engine, he'd have been talking about a performance cam, ported and polished head, and larger carbs for example? You'd do well to drop the attitude. The only stupid comment is the one that nobody ever considers.

  • I get the feeling tongue was firmly planted in cheek while this video was being made. :)

  • I can't recall my source but I heard somewhere a scraper wil reduce the lubrication to the cam lobes as it reduces the oil being slung from the crank in that direction. Is that true or BS?

  • so what you are saying here is the credit card to pay for all the parts is really the only thing you need to make an MGB fast

  • Great Video John....Now we all know the best way to make your B Fly is to shine up the tires which greatly reduces drag.

  • ...A turbo would be a good alternative..for about half the price. I may go with the cross flow head, 270 cam with the goal of getting 110 hp at the rear wheels.

  • I agree with the supercharger as a solution because it is widely available through Moss. However if say you could get a nice Garret or Berg ball bearing turbocharger... You have less weight and less drag. Lag is no issue with these turbos. A respectable amount of horsepower can be made with the appropriate setup.

  • Great info!!
