Gram Parsons & Emmylou Harris - In My Hour of Darkness

Linda was a tremendous help to Emmylou from the time Gram passed until 1975 when Emmy released her first solo album (Pieces In The Sky).

My love of music burst open when I discovered both Gram and Emmylou, for myself, in the 1970s. I can't imagine music without either one of them, both of them.

Thank you harpohat for posting this excellent piece of history. I agree, Gram did not get the recognition that he rightly deserves.

This song go right to the soul. The last track of the last album,such a dark,beautiful melody that hits the mortal coil

"In My Hour Of Darkness", whose first verse refers to the accident that killed actor Brandon De Wilde: "Once I knew a young man / Went driving through the night, / Miles and miles without a word / But just his high-beam lights. / Who'd have ever thought they'd build / Such a deadly Denver bend; / To be so strong, to take so long / As it would till the end."

You got that right...good looking guy, talented, smooth voice, style. What a shame, what a terrible shame.
