  • I'm in eighth grade and my French teacher is much abused when it comes to not laughing a few months ago a kid in my class was talking during class and the French teacher told him to be quiet and focus ( she meant on his work) and he yelled out Thats what she said! And you you could tell my teacher wanted to laugh at that she just told him told be quiet and do his work but she was smiling the whole time

  • My friend Mady and I always tried to get our old Language teacher to laugh. On Halloween when everybody dressed up at school, our teacher came to school wearing this emo- morbid- esque outfit with black lipstick and all. It was sort of the teacher's prank that she would act depressed the whole day. When she was faking about how awful her life was, my friend Mady, who was dressed up as a fairy, yelled,"I spread sunshine throughout the land...would you like some?"

  • I'm not a teacher, however, as a student, sometimes the teacher is actually 'cooler' for laughing in some cases. Of course, this doen't apply if what the student said was really innapropriate or rude, but if it is genuinely funny, a small laugh followed by repremand might work.

  • I suggest you start coughing. Cover your mouth and while making the coughing noise let some of it out :)

  • alright, this happened in my english class a few weeks ago...

this kid's older brother knew that he had english that period . so he wanted to embarress him in front of the class.

it was right after lunch and we were all getting settled into the classroom and this kid's older bro opens the door, leans in and says:

"hey tim, mom dropped your diarrea medication in the office"

    and then he left.

my teacher BURST out in laughter... more than any of the students and i was just thinking... wow.

  • I've had the same problm. I'm not a teacher yet, but i've worked at a day camp with 9 year olds and sometimes they say things that i can't believe, but sometimes i turn around and let a grin out just to let some of it out

  • I am a music ed major and I will have to do a student teaching thing in a couple years and I have no idea how I will handle it. I'm sure I will be laughing quite often. oh well.

  • i work at a day care and when the kids say things that are inappropriate, if they catch me off guard and are really funny, i do laugh, but i tell them they can't say stuff like that b/c we'll both get into trouble.

buuuuuuuuut my teachers in HS laugh at the things we say. so i guess it's rather circumstantial...

  • lol i did a student teaching thingy with the Pre-k for my teaching class for school[offered as an elective in 8th grade crazy huh?) and one of them said " shit!" when he hit his toe on the wall. I broke out laughing and then got in trouble for it XD

  • hey liz, ya its okay 2 laugh my teacher laughs at stuff like that soo its okay!lol
