They probably would have let you go in if you had given them advance notice. There really is a basement, which is unusual for that area.
My mother, who is 77, said that there used to be a human head in a jar, either on the patio there, or at the main building. They used to go look at it before church.
Robert Love, whose ghost supposedly haunts the capitol building in Austin after he was murdered there, is buried in the Tehuacana cemetery.

Know that place well. Grew up in that area and spent many a nights riding around there trying to "spook" ourselves.
