@94WildchildBHC You do realize that by saying ''in my opinion...'' means that in my opinion.. They both are great guitarists, they both are great vocalists, and they both have written nice songs, and saying most of Petri's solos were bland is just stupidity.. After all as guitar players their styles aren't 2 totally different, they play pretty similar stuff.. My ears just keep on saying that Petri's solos were better.. and just so you don't miss it These are my opinions!

@Haarissssssssss You do realize that Petri does limited songwriting in Ensiferum right? As for his stuff in Norther, most his solos were rather bland and generic IMO. Alexi wipes the floor with Petri when it comes to guitar and is a WAAAAAY better songwriter/composer. Hatebreeder and Follow the Reaper are such rich, masterpiece guitar albums and nothing by Norther comes even close. I stand by my opinion that Petri is a much better vocalist though.

@94WildchildBHC I don't agree, in my opinion Petri's Vocals are better, but his Songwriting is also better.. Guitar Abilities are quite equal.. Petri>Alexi But yeah, the fact that Ensiferum is my favorite band might affect my choice

Alexi is just better. hes more tastey and versitle. But he was better as a kid nevertheless.

The solo in Kissing the Shadows made Alexi into the guitar god he is today. Though, I believe Alexi and Petri is almost even.
