  • @axelheijken It sure is nice to know that the internet has such nice polite people in it. :-> The Champagne cocktail as shown here is the true classic, in so much as it represents not just the first known printed version (from 1862) but also it is the version which almost all bartenders know as officially being referred to as "Champagne Cocktail".

  • Idiot. If its a cocktail, by the standards YOU give, then where is the spirit?

    Classic Champagne Cocktail is made with brandy (cognac). And brown/raw sugar.

  • @sviolinist - actually only four minutes to cover the "Champagne Cocktail" specifically, the first four minutes were more of a historical introduction to "cocktails"... something that I could easily have taken more than an hour with! :->

  • Never pop champagne open, this isn't new years.
